Across the Universe, part two.

So here's the thing about Paris Remillard: he could sing just about anything and sound absurd in the best possible way.

I was in the car with my sister a little while after I created the Across the Universe theoretical cast in my head, and the version of Girl from the movie came on, and I said, "picture Paris Remillard singing this song." And she just looked at me and said "OH MY GOD."
As in, "oh my god, that would be fuckin' awesome."
Which it would.

And what's more- he would probably actually do justice to the song Revolution, which is the only song in the movie that I dislike. It kind of makes me cringe and I think John Lennon cries in his grave whenever it's played.
Just an opinion. Don't kill me.

But I think John Lennon would quite approve of Paris Remillard singing his songs. Especially eight times a week as Jude in a stage adaptation of Across the Universe.

Dear Casting Gods,
You know...think about it.

Love and stuff,
Addie

Across the Universe Casting Explained, Part One

Kacie Sheik is a Rockstar with a capital R.
I've been a huge fan of hers since the very first time I saw Hair in July of 2009. Her portrayal of Jeanie was stunning and she truly became that character- anyone who has seen her in the role would agree that her performance is unmatched by any other.
Kacie departed from the show on September 10th, 2011 - a show which I was lucky enough to be able to attend - but that is beside the point. After that show, Paris Remillard said something I had been trying to properly word for months before- that this is just where her talent starts; there is so much more to her that Hair didn't show.
So, as an example, I present Kacie Being A Rockstar; Exhibit A.

Told you.

She would kick ass as Sadie in Across the Universe. Just picture her singing Oh, Darling! or Don't Let Me Down. Kacie's voice would fit perfectly with those songs, and as a bonus, she looks the part.

Dear Casting Gods,
If a stage musical of Across the Universe is ever a thing that happens, please take this suggestion into strong consideration. You know as well as I do that Miss Sheik would be magical as Sadie.
Love and things,
Addie.

I carry around a journal with me constantly, with a title of a book/movie/television show-turned-musical on every page, with a list of characters and a theoretical cast. And this is where I'll spill the contents of that journal, fully equipped with pictures and opinions. Mostly opinions.

Everything I read and watch is re-casted or dream-casted in my head, so why not put it all in one place?
